Want to get married somewhere unusual? Perhaps the idea of a church or register office wedding just doesn’t do it for you and you’d like something that makes more of a statement or says something about your interests.

These days you can get married in a candle-lit castle, on a football pitch, a racecourse, or even at a safari park! Here are Confetti’s top 3 special interest venues:
In the air
If you and your fiancéshare a sense of adventure and want to marry in style, high above the capital then The London Eye is a real wow-factor venue for your wedding. Take your vows 135 metres above the city of London in a private capsule decorated with flowers. The breathtaking views make an unbelievable backdrop for your photographs. You’ll sign the register on your descent and drink a Champagne toast as you slowly return to the ground. A thoroughly amazing venue for a truly memorable wedding.
On the sea
If you’re interested in sailing or love the idea of getting married on board a ship decked out in luxurious Victorian elegance then The SS Great Britain could be the place for you. Now moored in Bristol Harbour, it was the world’s first luxury liner, launched in 1884. Take your vows on the promenade deck before sitting down to a wedding breakfast in the sumptuous first class dining saloon. The history of this unusual and romantic setting will make for some spectacular wedding photos.
At the zoo
Are you both animal lovers looking for somewhere different to tie the knot? Nowadays you can get married in most large zoos and even some safari parks. We love Whipsnade Zoo because all profits go directly into global animal conservation. It is located in Bedfordshire and surrounded by the breathtaking Chiltern Hills. Ceremonies are held in stylish suites holding up to 400 guests for dining, and these break out onto elegantly maintained lawns and terraces. Photographs with animals can be arranged which provide stunning pictures to savour forever, and a vintage steam train can even whisk your wedding guests off on a memorable expedition within the 600 acres of beautiful parkland.
Some other wow factor venues we just had to mention are:
The Garden Museum – A gardener’s dream
The White House – The ultimate USA style wedding in the UK
