Advanced skin care treatments
Bridal Beauty Tips from Debbie Jean
Bridal Make‐up Artist
Although I am a make‐up artist and normally focus on make‐up tips, I feel the condition of your skin affects the appearance of your make‐up – and for this reason I would like to offer some skin care tips that you may find useful for your wedding day.
Most of us know the benefits of eating a healthy diet, cleansing our skin and having regular facials. However sometimes a facial feels more like a pamper session. If you want to see dramatic results you may find the following skin care information informative.
Who is the right person to see when it comes to skin treatments?
A Paramedical Skin Care Therapist is a beauty therapist who has undergone advanced training in skin care treatments. Paramedical skin care therapists evaluate the skins condition and treat it accordingly. Paramedical Skin Care Therapists will generally be able to perform skin peels and laser treatments, although this will depend on their individual qualifications.
What can I expect from my first consultation?
Paramedical therapists use a variety of techniques/equipment to conduct a thorough analysis including:
- The Skin Scanner
- Magnifying Lamp
- Facial Analysis Image Processing
- Skin Diagnostic Unit
- In depth consultation
Once the data has been recorded the therapist can work out a suitable treatment program designed for your skin. This may include peels, laser, microdermabrasion. You should start your treatments 6 months to 1 year before your wedding. The results are long lasting, these treatments are much deeper and more effective than a facial.
The benefits of these type of treatments include:
- Improves skin function
- Improves sun damage, pigmentation and ‘irons out’ fine lines and rough surfaces
- Improves the skin texture (less leathery, skin looks new and glows)
- Removes toxins from the skin at the very deepest level
When will I notice an improvement to my skin?
Depends on your skin – you should notice an immediate improvement in skin texture and a more glowy appearance. I found my skin needed to adjust to such powerful treatments and once my skin ‘calmed down’ (felt sensitive and dry) my skin looked substantially better and I am very satisfied with the appearance of my skin.
So glow girls and get your skin sorted before your wedding day.
