Bridal Fashion – Looking Back At 2012
Looking back at the year behind us should always be fun – after all, there is so much to look forward to in the next 12 months! This of course applies perfectly to fashion, including bridal. It’s only when the year ends we can really say what was hot, and what wasn’t. So here’s a little summary of our absolutely favourite four trends which had a very strong presence in 2012 – and some of them will be around in 2013, bigger and better!
Colours
When you’re a bride, white is right – and so is grey, blush, and… black! Vera Wang especially championed this trend. The coloured gowns were absolutely stunning – and we congratulate those brides who broke with tradition and wore them! Famous celebs who got married in pink included Anne Hathaway, and Jessica Biel!

Interesting necklines
Drawing away from strapless (even more so for 2013), brides had plenty of choices to show off their beautiful necks and shoulders by framing them with gorgeous lace, pearls, and intricate embellishments – every woman looks the height of elegance in one of these!

Tea length
Vintage style ruled, especially the 50s-inspired tea length and ballerina length skirts – they suit every bride, from willowy to plus size, the matching accessories are to die for, and best of all – the brides get to show off their fabulous shoes too!

Pretty backs
At the ceremony, the guests get to see mostly the couples’ backs, and also the bride is photographed at every angle by everyone from the professional photog to the guests with disposable cameras – the picture back was the perfect option, and there were so many kinds too! Especially good for – brides with short hair, or wearing their hair up – you don’t want to cover all that gorgeous lace!
