Tiaras and Bridal Hair Accessories
Once you’ve got your dress it’s time to decide what to wear on your head. Will you go for a classic veil and tiara, a more modern and unique look, or simple country style flowers in your hair?

The headdress you choose will be largely dictated by your style of dress. A 1950s style dress will be complimented by an equally retro style birdcage veil or funky fascinator, while a stylish vintage gown will be finished off beautifully by a glamorous headdress such as a sparkling jewelled headband.
If you’re wearing a classic A-line dress with a full skirt then a traditional long line veil and tiara can look perfect. Strictly speaking the larger the skirt size, the larger the tiara and veil you can get away with. A massive tiara on a tiny frame in a slip of a dress is going to just look ridiculous, but a delicate beaded or sparkling Alice band could look amazing.
Tiaras come in all shapes and sizes, colours and styles. If you love to be unique then have a bespoke tiara made for you. If you like unusual but don’t have a budget for bespoke then go for a retro or vintage style instead. The Vintage Wedding Dress Company is worth checking out for newly created vintage designs or visit Magpie Vintage for original vintage bridal jewellery.
Classic brides should try on several tiaras with their dress and veil before making a decision. It’s best to match the colour of your tiara to the colour of your rings. Yarwood White is a wonderful bridal jewellery designer who will make bespoke tiaras or headdresses and jewellery to match. Yarwood White designs have been seen on several celebrities including Cheryl Cole and Charlotte Church.
If you don’t fancy a tiara and want to be slightly different without being too over the top then small, simple sparkling hair clips could be ideal for you. Have them match your bridal jewellery for a perfectly coordinated look.
