Villa Maieletta offers exclusive boutique accommodation, for adults only. Choose from the Villa’s enticing and distinctive range of three self-catering apartments, or independent house; each is for 2 people. The south-facing Villa basks in the daytime sun and sits in rolling hills on a quiet country lane, close to the historic hill-top town of Palombaro, location for the Lost in Italy film starring Ray Winstone, in 2010.
Come and live the outdoor life. The Villa is the place to be, for the anticipation of spring, warmth of the summer, or fascinating colours of autumn. Relax on cool summer evenings at one of a multitude of summer festivals that bring the sleepy surrounding villages to life. Spend a quiet night at home and delight in the array of fireflies around the garden from May to June, or be captivated by the scops owl that calls to its mate from across the fields. Wake up to a daytime carpet of wildflowers, watch falcons and eagles high above in the blue skies. With nature and wildlife everywhere the choice is yours.
The Villa is a stone’s throw away from the Maiella National Park in Abruzzo, the green lung of Italy and the nation’s best-kept secret. One third of the region is national and regional parks; it has 129 kilometres of sandy beaches and 21 ski areas. The Villa is perfectly positioned, with the mountain tops of Passo Lanciano, or beaches of Fossacesia little more than 30 minutes drive away. There are waterfalls, gorges and lakes within easy reach. Airport connections are good; Pescara is a mere 45 minutes, and Rome Ciampino just over 2 hours.
The Villa provides the highest standard of cleanliness and comfort with modern conveniences. The bedrooms are delightful with top quality imported Indian 400 count cotton sheets, white goose down pillows, and embroidered damask bedspreads. The finishing touches are provided by chandeliers and an exotic bed canopy, along with a host of individual features, including specially designed and hand-painted clothes hangers.
Hallmark Christy towels are provided in the four piece bathrooms.
Each kitchen is well-equipped with ample units, to provide a pleasurable environment for food preparation and eating.
There is a huge amount of sitting out space. Each apartment has at least one terrace or balcony, with a barbeque and additional sitting out areas in the grounds and the Villa olive grove to venture into for a picnic. Unexpected garden features provide a pleasant surprise in the unlikeliest of places.
The infotainment room offers an alternative shady spot or evening retreat, with an antique American Pool table, 42 inch TV, DVD player and libraries of DVDs and books. An Internet access PC provides an additional source of information and communication, along with travel guides, leaflets and maps. Free wi-fi is available throughout the Villa. Owners, Kate and Stephen live on site away from the apartments, and are available to take care of all your needs, to make sure your honeymoon is perfect from beginning to end.
