It’s that time of year again when we forecast what the future for wedding dresses hold, and we’re really excited for what’s in store for our brides in 2015! From what we’ve seen so far you’re in for a real treat; from sheer lace, cut off midriffs, shimmering metallics and show-stopping backs. We’ve picked some of our favourites from the best bridal catwalks. So sit back and take inspiration from some of the most gorgeous dresses set to take centre stage in 2015.

Modern Minimalist

This year sees a lot of designers like Amsale, Vera Wang and Oleg Cassini say goodbye to bling. We have to say we were a little disheartened…until we saw the collections. The modern, sleek, tailored dresses with their clean lines are the perfect style for brides who want to step away from the traditional gown and into something more comfortable.

Dropped Waist Wedding Dress

We saw this new trend pop up a few times, with Monique Lhuillier and Elizabeth Stuart both showcasing the style in their collection. The long bodice and big skirt is the perfect style for brides wanting to showcase their curves while wearing a fuller skirt.

Nude Lace

The optical illusion of this sheer nude lace has been a designers favourite, and we have to admit one of ours too! The dramatic look is a little risqué but the likes of Rivini and Reem Acra have created beautiful collections that are sexy and sophisticated.

Gowns that are lighter than air

It looks the tradition meringue fairy tale silhouettes are a thing of the past. 2015 is set to be the year of the softer looking ball gowns, with flowing, lighter and more relaxed silhouettes.

Midriff Cut Off

Many designers made the subtle yet beautiful transition of the crop top from an everyday style to bridalwear. Designers like Theia and Elizabeth Stuart are leading the way in this new trend, perfect for a more adventurous bride.

It might not necessarily be the colour of many brides, but the rich, luxurious tones of gold, silver and bronze shimmered down the catwalk with as much elegance and sophistication as the white and ivory gowns. The stand-out metallic is set to grab the hearts of brides wanting to make a statement at their reception.

Art Deco

The influence of The Great Gatsby is still very much an inspiration for 2015. The beaded column dresses with their geometric shapes are still undeniably elegant and feminine.

Taking the Plunge

Sexy is well and truly the stable look for 2015, and you can’t get any sexier then a very deep neckline. With designers Watters and Caroline Herrera taking the plunge.

Sexy Backs

We’ve saved our favourite ’till last. We’re obsessed with the idea of unique backs, whether they’re embellished, lace or beautifully embroidered. We love them all!
