One day after the anniversary of their engagement, Natalie Oldknow and Joe Lau of Alfreton, Derbyshire, received the news that they were the winners of Confetti.co.uk’s £40,000 Win Your Wedding competition. No one could have predicted that 357 days after Joe proposed to Natalie in Bruges, with a song written by himself and performed by a friend, they would win their dream wedding.
“We are completely in shock,” Natalie said. “We were struggling to pay our mortgage and pay for a wedding.” Thanks to the help of 40 of the UK’s top wedding industry suppliers, and having beaten out over 17,000 other entrants, Natalie and Joe can have the wedding of their dreams without the price tag.
The couple, who are due to wed next spring, have won all of their wedding ceremony and reception decor, invitations and bridal party gifts courtesy of Confetti.co.uk, a designer wedding dress for Natalie from Eternity Bridal and dresses for her bridesmaids courtesy of Alexia Designs. Joe and his groomsmen will step out in fashion, dressed by Stephen Bishop Suiting and will be escorted to their ceremony by wedding transport company Transformers Car Hire. Other prizes include a tipi reception venue courtesy of Big Chief Tipis and a luxury Cypriot honeymoon provided by Kanika Hotels. Photography, videography, entertainment, stag and hen activities and everything in between is also included in their bumper prize.
