Getting married in June and panicking!! I'm size 18 and recently I have been quite unwell. Instead of losing weight I have put on weight before my dress fitting due on Thursday. I am then being refitted again later this month. Does anyone have any tips for losing weight before the wedding (to lose inches around the belly area in particular)? Also... I'm in a full time job that means I leave the house at 7am and return at 8pm so no time for the gym other than on days off. Thanks!
Zoey Louise Draper - Slimming world recipes are great! Check out their website or if you DM me I can give you some. My partner and I started to change our unhealthy lifestyle and I lost an inch on my waist within a week! Not suggesting everyone is the same but it'll help! X
Cassie Brandon - Do a Hiit workout whenever you can, Joe wicks YouTube videos are great and it's only 20 minutes of hard work and is just as effective as an hours workout. Up your protein, cut out carbs and sugar as much as you can, also the app SWORKIT is great for home workouts. Good luck!
Lyndsey Brown - I might get lynched for this but.... have you thought about trying a VCLD like Cambridge or exante? I know it's not great for you long term but I did it for 20 weeks a few years ago and lost 6 stone. I ended up far healthier because I lost the weight. If you only need to lose it quickly in a few weeks it may help. And yes you can keep the weight off, as long as once you start eating you are sensible and exercise. I know some people say you pile it back on but that's not true - you will if you eat rubbish, but if you are sensible you will be fine. Cambridge tastes nicer but exante is cheaper and you can order online (pancakes are yummy as is the lemon cheesecake shakes). I've done it before and can give you plenty of advice (plus my other half is now a Cambridge consultant) if you have any questions at all happy for you to PM me ? xxxx
Louise Mckennall - Slimming world for even as little as 4 weeks could make a massive difference if you really stick to it, if you work long hours try the ready meals from Iceland. Try and find a local group and speak to the group leader about your goal. Good luck!
Ellen Botterill - I have recently gained a degree in food & nutrition. All I can say is.. don't listen to anyone who recommends Herbalife, aloe Vera based products or cutting out entire food groups. That will just end in tears, you being out of pocket and feeling a failure. Slimming world is great, and comes personally recommended from myself and almost all GPs. Swap white carbs for wholemeal (pasta, bread, rice) have 3 meals a day, including a protein, high fibre carbohydrates and make sure half your plate is vegetables/ salad. Snack on fruit. Cut out as much animal fat (saturated) as possible. Avoid alcohol, sugary and processed foods. Drink plenty water. Make yourself healthy packed meals for at work. Plan ahead. And of course, exercise! :-D good luck xx
Corinna Bloye - Join slimming world straight away. I have lost 3st since October, you could easily lose 1st in 3 weeks. It isn't a diet, you can still have what you want, as long as you syn it. I have tried many "diets" and they just don't last. This is healthy eating and its a lifetime change, but for the better. Wish I'd done it years ago. I can have mushrooms, eggs, bacon, beans, tomotoes, as long as I use fry light spray, its what they call "free food", brilliant!! Good luck.
Emma Ollett - Aw I completely understand how you feel being a big girl myself. The only advice I could offer you is to try and cut out your carbs . The other advice is what ppl tell me that you are beautiful regardless of what size you are and your h2b loves you no matter what. I'm also a size 18 and I'm 4 months pregnant I don't get married until September so I'll be huge lol. I'm just gonna try to not think about the photos sit back and enjoy the day life is to short to worry. Xx
Sarah Clifton - I did the Cambridge diet for 2 months before mine, it works wonders but I'd only recommend doing it for a month or so as I felt really hungry on it so don't think it's really sustainable for a long period of time! A friend of mine tried slim and save which is the same sort of thing only cheaper ?
Bex Passells - I've lost 2stone 2lbs in 16 weeks with slimming world I can't recommend it enough still got a long way to go but my lifestyle has changed completely and I love it feel happier and healthier xx
Hilda Keatings - Try slimming world recipes as they are really tasty and you won't feel like you are ŕestricted just eating well and healthier. They have ready meals on sale in Iceland which are lovely and filling too. Stock up on fruit and make your own dips from natural yoghurt and chilli powder or similar and cut up veg for dips. For a chocolate treat add a chocolate option to fromage frais or natural yoğurt. Good luck x
Emmy Wilson - It may be a quick fix (and only a little bit) but the week before my dress fitting I did "tummy wraps" and lost 1.5 inches (temporarily) around my waist. You basically put an oil (I used Coconut) on your tummy at night, wrap it in cling film, and go to sleep. You sweat out some of the excess water held in those cells, making it appear like you've lost weight. I also drank 3 litres of water a day religiously that week and although I was peeing for Britain, I feel it helped me lose some water weight, and helped me feel more full so I wasn't eating as much. I didn't lose more than 2lbs physical weight, but it did help me with that extra inch I needed!!
Fifi Princess Jonno 0 Weight loss is 80% diet and 20% work out. Just be mindful of what you eat, don't drink diet drinks, eat whole foods when you can, eat mindfully and remember food is fuel, not a comfort blanket. Don't cut out food groups and over all, remember why your doing it. Xxx
Melissa Robley - I did the jason vale 5lb in 5 days. you make your own juices through the week then eat healthy at the weekend and start again with the juices on monday. I lost loads really fast! Slimming world is very good long term thoughaa
Jenna Anderson - Drinking water to make sure your body is properly hydrated (try an Ulla to remind you to drink) as being properly hydrated increases metabolism. Fruit throughout the day is a godsend, too
Rachel Hind - Slimming world SP days help loose loads in a short space of time but also sticking to slimming world free foods and stuff will really help i lost 1/2 a stone in 2 weeks
Elaine Thorpe - Just review what you are eating ad how you cooking it. Treat yourself once a week. No take always if possible. C if you can get a DVD re exercises focusing on yr belly. Walking is great you can fit that in
Samantha Georgina - Some cardio exercises are 15 mins long and you can do them in the house!I work 16 hour days sometimes and find the time. You need to re prioritise your schedule.
Gillian Preece - Green tea with every meal..... personal I don't like it but I still drink it.... and loads of lemon water.... along side anything else you eat or do it does help
Jessica Victoria - See if you can fit in a few home exercises, even whilst sitting on the sofa, I usually play around with a kettlebell I have or do some squats whilst watching TV. Also, try tracking your food throughout the day, I use MyFitnessPal to log food, exercise, water etc
Ashley Skelton - Stop eating anything white. I cut out bread, pasta, rice, potatoes etc for about three weeks before I got married. It really made a difference! X
Denise Tibbetts - Slimming World for sure. I get married in just over six weeks time, and have lost 2 stones since January. Hoping for a little bit more before the day :-)
Ssarah Tomlinson - I've been to slimming world and at the gym at 6am for a hitt workout for half hour then straight off to work I'm shattered but I know it will be worth it xx
Yana Anita Appleton - Cut out refined sugar, makes a huge difference, but I mean cut it out completely, no shop bought bread etc, read the labels of everything
Star Walker - Not a long term plan but as you're short for time try the grapefruit diet. Horrendous but works for a fast short term fix x
Emma Brittle - Use my fitness pal app and track all your calories. You can put in how much weight you need to lose and it'll tell you how many you can have each day. X
Lesley Shakoor - I had this problem I got married last week and in 3 weeks I lost 13 lb doing the boiled egg diet. I also drop nearly 2 dress sizes. Xx
Samantha Hale - Slimming world is fab lo g term..but a quick fix is to do a liver shrinking diet ( just googke them ) i lost 13lbs in 10 days !
Vanda Kaminski - I'd say try the Ketogenic diet. Very low carb, high fat. It really works. My partner has lost 13% body fat (10kg) in 8 weeks.
Claire Strachan - Slim and save it's the same sort of thing as Cambridge but I think it's cheaper and tastier from what I've heard. I have lost 100lbs.
Sally Denton - Slimming world. And can u walk in your lunch breaks? That would help. And run at weekends. Running and walking are great for weight loss z
Samantha Birtley - Track all your calories using my fitness pal stay under goal. If you have a Fitbit the steps you walk convert into extra calories you can eat x
Lucinda Charlotte Moseley - I echo those saying slimming world. I lost 1st in 3 weeks, 6st 2lb in just under a year
Sonia Parsons - Slimming world it's a really good way to loose weight if you follow it properly xx
