Please can I ask, how close to their wedding did people book an appointment to sort the notice to marriage please? Many thanks.
Karyn Wheatley - We were advised to book as soon as our wedding was less than a year away. I rang our registry office in February to make an appointment and the earliest they could do was next week so I'd suggest getting it sorted sooner rather than later so you get the date you want especially if it's a weekend.
Jenna Blair - Check with your registration office when you can do it.. I think you can submit it up to a year in advance (but no more than 28 days before) in the rest of the UK but in Scotland you have to wait until 3 months before (again, no later than 28 days before the wedding) Good Luck ❤
Jo Thomas - We had ours in march and marry in December. We now have forms for selecting our vows, choosing music and any readings etc that we may want during the service. This all has to be given back not more than the about 3 months before . Hope this helps x
Chelsea Lawrance - We did ours today and we get married end of October. We needed a Saturday appointment and they really get booked up, particularly when peak wedding season is around the corner!
Lisa Jones - I just enquirers about this it needs to be a minimum of 29 days before and no more than 3 months before so the woman suggested 8-10 weeks before the wedding is perfect to submit your notice xx
Amy Mills - Urm... can't remember specifics but I know we did all of the stuff to do with the registrar/notice at the earliest date we could x
Natasha Harmer - As soon as possible, but it has to be within 12 months of the wedding date. We've just given our notice and we get married March 2018
Jenni McCaul - I did mine just under a year before, I was told when I booked my registrar I had to do it within 2 months so just did them both within a week get them ticked off
Rhiann Ellen Holding - We get married 19th August and ours is booked for 2nd June. It can be done 12 months before but I definitely needs to be done for 4 weeks before your wedding .x
Clare Walker - It can be up to year in advance but has to be done 28 days before the wedding. I sorted mine last night so it's fresh in my memory ?x
Rebecca Nuth - I get married in April next year and have to give notice to our council between April and July this year. Call up your council and double check xxx
Kelly Ringsell - Hi ya, you can do it a year before we are getting married August 2018 and are doing our inteñt to marry this August xx
Saarah Mulligan - I have already done this and my dates in may 2018 ... if you want exact date do it now x
Elaine Thorpe - If in a church they read three notices so around six weeks b4 the wedding
Katie O'Keeffe - I think it has to be more than 28days before but can be done from a year before
Belinda Clark - Notice to marriage varies depending on citizenship status if both are UK citizens living in the uk then 28 days notice prior to date of legal ceremony.
Regardless of where the wedding will be this needs to be done at the register office where they live. Foreign Nationals see this link https://www.gov.uk/marriages-civil.../foreign-national Thanks Celebrant Belinda Clark
Emily Harrison - I did it at the start of the year and I get married in October haha. As long as its 3 months before all is well
Sharon Swainston - We're getting married October 2018 and have booked ours in for this October x
Michelle Baker - Ours was at the start of May and we got married in July
Katie Walker - We were told we could do it a year in advance. We get married 12may2018. And booked our notice of marriage for 30may2017
Hannah Fox-Everitt - We did it two weeks before the wedding as we forgot ? they squeezed us in and was very helpful lol x
Sonia Parsons - I'm doing mine next week I get married in 3 months x as long as it is done 28 days before hand, cost £35 each xx
