I am having problems finding nice flat wedding shoes to wear for when I am a bride in November. The only shoes I can find look like a young girl should be wearing them do you have any ideas of where I can look?
If flat shoes look a bit childish, perhaps you could consider a kitten heel. They are much more comfortable than a high shoe, and look elegant and sophisticated.
I would recommend trying a very low heeled court shoe, the point will make the shoe more elegant and grown up, and the small heel will stop them from looking like children's shoes. Generally, a round toe will look too young. There will be little difference in comfort between a flat shoe and a 1cm heel.
Another option would be to have your bridal shoes custom made. You can then specify what you want to your designer and have them made to your specifications. If this seems like a very expensive option, then consider that you can have them dyed afterwards to wear again.
If none of this appeals to you, I know of one Confetti bride who wore white Doc Martins on her wedding day; they were very comfortable, and a great talking point!
