My wedding is less than a month away. Over the last two weeks I have been mega run down and constantly full of cold. I got rid of one cold then days later got another. I am feeling really rubbish (I can't keep on track with my exercise and my skin has got really bad) and my hen do is next weekend! I'm really worried I'm going to be under the weather for my big day! Is there anything anyone can recommend? I've just started taking multivitamins xxx
Gemma Bush - Berocca effervescent tablets are brilliant for energy.. Just one a day for a couple of days and it'll give u the boost u need.. Remember it's important to drink loads of water and up your vitamin c..and take time for yourself.. Spa days are brilliant dot this or if u don't have the time diy one at home..
Vicki Sherratt - Keep taking the vitamins and plenty of water too. I was full of cold for my hen weekend (the weekend before my wedding) and I was still feeling pretty rough on my wedding day. I have to say though, my adrenaline kicked in when we were all getting ready and I hardly noticed my cold. It wasn't until about 11pm when I was tired and the day was almost over that I started to feel rough again. So the bright side is, even if you do have a cold, you should hopefully not notice how rough you feel, because you'll have so much going on. Hope you feel better soon xx
Ayesha Feaver - I had the exact same thing!! I had a cod that lasted 3 weeks, then immediately got a cold sore 2 days before my hen do, which has left a small scar on my lip, I've been pretty much bunged up this entire month! I took hay fever relief (believe it or not I can help) helped with being so bunged up, I was drinking 2 litres of cucumber water a day which was really refreshing, and helped with my skin a bit! Try and sleep wherever you can! No magic cure unfortunately! I got married on Saturday and all of that had cleared up!!! ?
Donna Krischke - Can you take the day before your wedding off work? Knowing you've got a buffer to lie in and sort the final preps may help with stress and that's probably why you're feeling run down, even if you don't feel stressed.
Plus you'll have so much adrenaline on the day you'll not feel as ill.
You're the bride, make the most it. Spa days, lie in, ask family and bridesmaids to help with final prep so that you can relax and recuperate xx
Rachael Potter - Treat your self to a spa day before your hen do. You are properly stressed with everything that is happening and that is why you are so run down. Take some time for you to relax and maybe a nice facial. It will make you feel so much better x
Kerry Hillon - Plenty of water, fruit, vegetables and sleep! I think it's a good idea to take some time off if you can before the wedding. If you can try book in for a massage, take as much time as you can to take care of yourself. Try get some echinacea too for the cold ? good luck and I hope you feel better soon xx
Daryl Catherine Taylor - I was exactly the same a week before my wedding i was so ill with pharyngitis. I was given antibiotics by the Doctor even though she said it may have been a virus but she wanted to try everything. I also took berocca, throats sprays and hay fever tablets. On the way of my wedding I had a really watery itchy eye and I honestly didn't even notice it after a while. You are on such a high and are so busy that you won't notice
Kimberleigh Richardson-French - Berocca, i second walking for 30 mins a day too. It will help you to chill and just get ur mind straight. Hot baths to relax and steam it out of u! Loads of water, orange juice, fruit and veg. Esp berries and green veg
Lauren Jones - Zinc is good for the immune system, and Evening Primrose Oil is good for skin, hair and nails. Might be worth giving those a try? Although to be honest, it sounds as though you're just very very run down. Can you set aside a day or two of relaxation with your fiancé before the big day? Sounds like it will do you the world of good. Best of luck with your big day! xx
Becka Justice - Odourless garlic tablets- they are a natural antibiotic- I took them through uni and avoided freshers flu and colds. My friend also started taking them as was constantly ill and she saw a significant difference!!
Darryl Taylor-Morris - Hi, I am a Tropic skincare ambassador. I used Tropic products in the build up to my wedding, which meant my skin was clear and radiant on the day. Feel free to pm me and we can discuss more about your needs and suitable products x
Alice Alexander - I uses to work in a pharmacy and you wouldn't believe how many people would come in with the same problem. We always suggested metatone tonic. It's basically gives your immune system a boost. Fingers crossed you feel better ?
