We're getting married in February and would like to have a marquee. Have you heard of many disaster stories using a marquee in winter?
Having a marquee in winter is fine, but there are a few things to consider:
1. Make sure you use a good marquee company who are accustomed to winter events. You will need excellent flooring, undercover areas to get to loos etc, and also to be well-prepared for all kinds of weather!
2. Make sure that you have ample heating. When people are sitting down eating they need to feel warm and able to relax. This will mean the need for generators if you're not near an electricity supply.
3. Try to serve hot food.
So, for an excellent winter marquee, you need an equally excellent marquee company and budget to pay for heating, flooring and any other necessary facilities.
