Q
Anyone else live-streamed their wedding for guests who can’t make it?
We get married in October this year and my fiancé's brother lives in Australia with his wife and child. Due to the cost of flights etc they understandably aren't able to make it. We Skype on a regular basis with these family members so thought it may be a nice idea to have a Skype call during the ceremony or the speeches to make them feel more involved - all we'd need is our laptop set up somewhere in the room. We are having a videographer there on the day anyway so they'll be able to see it one day but I was just wondering if anyone else did a Skype call during their wedding at some point to involve loved ones who can't attend? If so, how did you find it? Was it worth it? How did you go about doing it?

Does anyone know if it’s possible to provisionally book a registrar?
I need some advice. I don't live in the UK anymore but am getting married back home next year. I can't book a registrar until my partner has a marriage visa and this can't be done until 6 months beforehand. Does anyone know if it's possible to provisionally book a registrar at all? I don't want to leave it too late as I'm worried we wouldn't be able to get married on our chosen date. Also, we'd like to ensure that we send our invites out in plenty of time. Thanks for your help.

Songs for register signing?
Hi all, we are having a civil ceremony (no religious content allowed) and was wondering what some of you was having as a song while you sign the register. We are getting married in less than 8 weeks and this is the only element we are struggling with. Many thanks, Tara x

I’d like to arrange an outdoor hand fasting ceremony
I'd like to arrange an outdoor hand fasting ceremony. As hand fasting is a traditional Pagan ceremony, I don't think it would be recognised as a legal ceremony so I think we would have to get married in a register office as well. Can you help me find someone to do the service?

Any official translations of the standard (ish) wedding vows
My girlfriend is German, and although she is bilingual, her family are not. We are planning to marry in England and I wondered if there were any "official" translations of the standard (ish) wedding vows, or if we should ask someone to translate them. Also I wondered what the best way to arrange the two languages was - I wondered about having the official say the English, and then someone else repeat the German.

We would like to have a relatively late civil ceremony
We would like to have a relatively late civil ceremony and would prefer not to invite everybody for the day and wedding breakfast. But, we are concerned that the wedding breakfast will run too late for guests to feel welcome for the evening reception.
