I know its tradition to get the bridesmaids, best man and mother of bride and groom a present but is there anyone else I'm missing? My dad will be giving me away and I have a page boy. Will I need to buy them gifts too?
It's completely up to you who you choose to give thank you gifts for but it is a lovely gesture to anyone who helped you on your big day. Some couples give a little something to everyone in the wedding party. You don't have to spend a lot of money on all these gifts, just a small note of thanks and something they can keep to help them remember the day is enough.
A bouquet of flowers is a traditional thank you gift to the mother of the bride and groom but you could give them a piece of jewellery that they could keep or a personalised gift, even a home-made present. I love this simple compact that you can have engraved. I ordered one for my own mum years ago, with a lovely, meaningful message on the front, and she still has it.
A gift boxed wine stopper is a great and very affordable little gift for the men in your wedding party, which is good news if you have 10 ushers! It's quite nice to give your bridesmaids jewellery that they wear on the day and keep for years after.
There are all sorts of lovely gifts for children, from soft toys to activity packs to keepsakes. It doesn't matter how big a gift you give, a heart-felt hand-written card would be just as appreciated.
