We're a 3 piece band with a wide repertoire of dances and tunes
Weddings are memorable occasions and a barn dance or ceilidh is a great way of getting family and friends mixing and having fun together.
Many of our bookings are for weddings and and we're very good at striking the balance between lively music to get everyone up and dancing and quieter intervals so that your guests can chat and catch their breath if required.
Our caller will talk you through the moves and quickly gauge the level of ability and experience of your guests and he'll adjust the programme of dances accordingly so that everyone can relax and join in. He has a wide repertoire of dances from all over the UK and we have an extensive list of tunes to match them so whether your guests are young or old, experienced dancers or complete beginners there’ll be dances to suit. If there are dances or tunes you’d like included, let us know in case they’re not in our current repertoire.
When you book us you can rest easy knowing that we will arrive when we say we will, and set up quickly and efficiently. We’ll set the volume so that it’s loud enough for dancing, but not so loud that it prevents those of your guests who want to take a breather from chatting. We'll come suitably dressed and ready to give our best for you and your guests. We take what we do very seriously and are professional in our approach, but our emphasis at your event is on fun and enjoyment for you and your guests.
We like to arrive an hour before the start time to set up our equipment and do a sound check. However, let us know if that won't work for you. We'll be happy to fit in with your plans. It usually takes us about 20 minutes to pack away at the end.
For a booking of up to 2 hours we can play without an interval but if it’s over 2 hours we need a break of 30 minutes about half way through.
Let me know if you'd like to talk through your plans and ideas. We appreciate that there are lots of things that have to come together when you're planning a wedding so we're happy to hold a date for you for 14 days while you sort out things out. When you're ready you can make your booking by contacting me and I'll send you a contract to sign.

- We play lively vibrant music to get your guests feet tapping and up on the floor dancing.
- Our caller has a relaxed, easy style and explains the dances clearly so that everyone can relax and join in. He'll choose a programme to match the skill level of the dancers but it really won't matter if anyone gets it wrong. That's all part of the fun
- We take what we do very seriously and are professional in our approach but the emphasis at your booking will be on fun and enjoyment for you and your guests. We want you to have the time of your lives.
- We're very good at striking the balance between lively dancing and quieter moments so that you and your guests can chat or take a break and catch your breath, if required and we're happy to fit in with any plans you have for the evening.
- Rest assured that we'll arrive on time, suitably dressed for the occasion and will set up quickly and efficiently. It takes us about 20 minutes to clear away at the end.
- When you book us you can rest assured that we'll do our very best to make it the best to make it the best day of your lives.
Meet the Owner
Hello. I'm Barbara and I'm the one who will be responding to your enquiry about booking us. I'm also the fiddle player in the band. When you get in touch I'll need to gather up some information to make sure I give you the best quotation. We can do this by email or if you prefer we can have a phone call or Zoom meeting. That way we can make sure we've covered all aspects of your booking and also begin to get to know one another. There's always a lot to organise when you're planning a wedding so we're happy to hold a date for you while you research venues, caterers etc. but once you've decided to book us, I'll send you a contract to sign and return with an initial payment of £50
