Hi, i’m Katie and welcome to Amortentia Weddings. I feel very privileged to have spent the last decade working in theatre, events, party planning and live entertainment and I have a deep and long lived passion for experiences that stay with you for a lifetime. I always knew I wanted to work in entertainment and pursued my passion from an early age. A lot of people asked me “do you want to be a performer then?”…Nobody wants to hear me squawking or trying to dance! However, the back stage and logistics behind live performance and events fascinated me and I found I had a knack for organisation, design and creating magic from a dark corner of a venue. I studied Drama and Theatre Studies and discovered the career that I was born to do: Stage and Event Management. It was my calling. I did a Masters Degree to specialise in my field and off I went into the competitive world of live entertainment. I love every minute of my job and I’ve been incredibly lucky to meet amazing people and work on breathtaking projects. I adore finding the perfect items to make a space feel special, inviting guests and audiences for an unforgettable experiences and ensuring clients and companies receive the best service I can offer. Nowadays, most of the time, you can find me on London’s West End managing major musicals and plays or standing in a field erecting performance staging and luxury tents. Weddings fill me with joy and being an event planner is a huge privilege to be part of somebody’s day that reflects love and companionship. And let’s not forget, “a little party never hurt nobody”.
