You spend months - if not years - organising and planning your Big Day. The endless wedmin! Colour schemes, flowers, decorations, dresses, menu, entertainment, seating plans, family politics, invites - you name it, you've had to arrange it!

The point is, by the time your actual wedding day comes along, you've done all the hard work. You just want to relax, be yourself and enjoy it! Because apart from anything else, the day will pass by in the blink of an eye - and I speak from personal experience!
My documentary style of photography is very relaxed and naturalistic. I won't spend hours posing you and your guests when you'd all rather be enjoying a glass of fizz together and laughing until your sides ache. And those are the moments I will collect throughout your wedding day - the emotion, the fun, the happiness, the joy, the laughter, the love - all captured naturally, as they happen.

- You will find me very relaxed and easy to work with – my style is mainly documentary which means I will let the action and frivolities of your day unfold before my camera, capturing them in an unscripted, unstaged and completely natural way.
- I aim to be a calming influence on your wedding day. A photographer is one of the key 'organisers' of your day, helping to keep the day on schedule, so you need someone who is cool under pressure, knows what they are doing and is totally unflappable - me!

Meet the Key Person
Hi, I’m Ashley :) I run Ashley Morton Photography and I absolutely love photographing weddings! I never take for granted the privilege it is to be asked to capture the day that two people commit their lives to each other. On the day, you will find me very relaxed and easy to work with and, hopefully, a calming influence as I help you navigate your way through the running order. My documentary style means I will let the action and frivolities of your day unfold before my camera, capturing them in an unscripted, unstaged and completely natural way. As well as those natural moments, the part of day I really enjoy is when the two of you get to step away from the hustle and bustle for a while and just enjoy each other’s company in the surroundings of whichever beautiful location you have chosen. During these moments, I will create gorgeous portraits of you both looking fabulous which you will enjoy and cherish for the rest of your lives. Other than having The Best Job In The World, my life is a deep ocean of other complex hobbies and interests! I crossed off a bucket list item in 2021 when my band played Reading and Leeds festivals, so I can genuinely say that I’ve been on the same bill as Stormzy! I am also a huge film lover. If you visit my website, you may spot a few quotes from some soppy love movies dotted around – full marks if you can get all of them! My love of music and film intersect with my passion for movie soundtracks, the work of John Williams and Hans Zimmer in particular. And then there’s football. As a huge Arsenal fan, I’m conditioned to appreciating beauty and intricacy at the highest level! But overall, I'm just a very laid-back, friendly guy who would love to shoot your wedding for you! If you want to keep things simple and informal and just enjoy your wedding day with your guests without spending hours posing for photographs, we might just be a great match!
