Blackheath Halls is an arts venue in the heart of South East London, sitting at the top of Blackheath Village, 5 minutes walk from the nearest train station.
A registered charity since 1983, the beautiful historic Grade II listed building was built with the purpose of hosting live events and Blackheath Halls present a vibrant calendar of events throughout the year. Alongside events, the two event spaces are available to hire for weddings.
Blackheath Halls Details
- Built in 1895 thanks to the vision of William Webster and other local enthusiasts, Blackheath Halls is a Grade II listed building and part of the oldest surviving purpose built cultural complex in London and offers it's beautiful spaces out for hire
- Rich in it's musical heritage, the larger space of the Great Hall boasts a high vaulted ceiling and is often the choice of major London orchestras for their recording sessions - ideal for large weddings breakfasts and events
- The Great Hall can hold up to 250 guests seated for a wedding event
- The smaller Hearn Recital Room space is idea for smaller weddings and ceremonies
- The Hearn Recital Room is a licensed venue for marriage and civil ceremonies as per Section 26(1) b of the Marriage Act 1949
