I’m Katie, the photographer behind Captured by KDW. I photograph weddings with a relaxed approach, an eye for the unscripted and just enough direction to help you feel comfortable in front of the camera.
Throughout the day, I focus on what makes your wedding personal: the people closest to you, the atmosphere in the room, the details you carefully chose and the moments happening while you’re busy enjoying it all. I combine natural documentary photography with thoughtfully composed portraits, giving your gallery a polished, editorial feel without anything looking overly staged.
The result is a carefully edited collection that reflects the day as it really happened - full of genuine interactions, relaxed portraits and the character of your celebration. Based in the North West and available for weddings across the UK.

Meet the Owner
Hi, I’m Katie - the photographer behind Captured by KDW. My approach to weddings is relaxed, natural and documentary-led, with an editorial edge inspired by my background in fashion photography. I love capturing the moments you expect, but I’m just as interested in everything happening around them - the glances, reactions, little details and in-between moments you might not even notice on the day. When it comes to portraits, I’ll give you gentle direction so you never feel awkward or wonder what to do, while keeping everything feeling natural rather than overly posed. I want you to have beautiful, editorial photographs without your wedding feeling like one long photoshoot. I’m also a recent bride myself, so I know first-hand just how quickly the day goes and how impossible it is to take everything in. That’s a huge part of why I photograph weddings the way I do. Think of me as your photographer, calm presence and built-in hype girl - there to document your day exactly as it felt.
