Born and bred in the West Midlands, Avesh grew up loving two things: incredible homemade Indian food and a proper portion of fish and chips. So naturally, he thought... why not put them together? The result? Cheeky Maharaja – home of the UK's original Masala Fish & Chips. When he's not serving up crispy cod, triple-cooked chips and loaded street food, you'll usually find him dreaming up new recipes, chatting to customers or chasing his next big food adventure. His philosophy is simple: if people leave smiling (and slightly obsessed with the masala batter), it's been a good day. Avesh isn't afraid to do things differently. His unique take on fish and chips has earned national recognition, including a place in The Guardian's list of the UK's top fish and chip shops, making Cheeky Maharaja the only mobile fish and chip van to feature.
