Deer's Leap is more than just a wedding venue – it's a private countryside retreat where you can celebrate your wedding your way.
Hidden away in a secluded Devon valley on the edge of Exmoor, the entire estate is exclusively yours for the weekend. With space for up to 150 wedding guests and on-site accommodation for up to 40, you can enjoy a full wedding weekend surrounded by the people you love most.
Unlike many venues, there are no fixed wedding packages or preferred suppliers. You're free to choose your own caterers, bring your own drinks with no corkage fees, and create a celebration that reflects your style – whether that's a relaxed festival wedding, elegant dining in the Stone Barn, street food by the lake or something completely unique.
Exchange your vows beside our handcrafted lakeside gazebo or inside the beautiful Stone Barn before celebrating late into the evening. Then unwind with your guests in our cosy cottages, luxury glamping village and hot tubs, making the most of your time together without anyone needing to rush away.

This is our family home, and Heather will be with you from your first viewing through to your wedding day, helping with planning, coordinating suppliers and ensuring everything runs smoothly alongside our experienced bar and waiting team.

Deer’s Leap is our family home, and it’s where James and I decided to get married after months of searching for a venue that never quite felt right. Too many rules. Too many compromises. So we created something different. A place where couples can do things their own way, and we’ve been welcoming weddings here ever since. From your first viewing through to the day itself, I'll be here to help bring everything together, sharing ideas, answering questions and making sure every detail feels just right. On the wedding day itself, I'll be on site overseeing the celebrations, coordinating suppliers, supporting guests and working with our bar and waiting team to ensure everything runs seamlessly from start to finish.
