If you’re looking for natural wedding photos but don’t want to spend half your wedding day posing for the camera, we’ll probably get along very well.
I’m Damian, the photographer behind DS Wedding Photography. I’m based in Yorkshire and photograph weddings across the UK and beyond.
My approach is relaxed, natural and all about capturing your wedding as it actually feels. The laughs, hugs, happy tears, nervous moments before the ceremony, reactions you didn’t see, your guests being themselves and the absolute chaos on the dance floor – that’s the stuff I love.
No awkward posing
One of the biggest things couples tell me is: “We’re terrible in front of the camera!”
Don’t worry. You don’t need to know how to pose.
For most of your wedding I’ll simply blend in and photograph what’s happening naturally. When we head out for couple portraits, I’ll give you enough direction so you never feel awkward, while still keeping everything relaxed and looking like you.
And yes, we’ll still make time for some beautiful portraits, golden-hour photographs and a few creative evening shots. 📸
More than someone with a camera
I genuinely believe the experience you have with your photographer matters just as much as the photographs.
That’s why I like getting to know my couples before the wedding. We can meet for a coffee, have a catch-up and get you comfortable in front of the camera with a pre-wedding photoshoot.
By the time the wedding arrives, I don’t want to feel like a stranger turning up with two cameras. I want you to feel like you’ve got another friend at the wedding – one who happens to be pretty good at taking photos.
I’ve even earned the nickname “Ninja Wedding Photographer” from the way I disappear into the background and capture moments without people noticing me. 🥷
So enjoy your wedding, spend time with the people you love, have a drink, hit the dance floor and forget about the camera.

Meet the Key Person
Hi, I’m Damian – the guy behind DS Wedding Photography! 👋 I’m a Yorkshire-based wedding photographer, husband, dad, dog lover and probably slightly too dependent on coffee. 😄 I’m originally from Poland, but Yorkshire has been home for many years. My approach to weddings is pretty simple – I want you to enjoy your day, not spend it worrying about the camera. I’m there to capture the real stuff: the laughs, hugs, happy tears, crazy dance floor moments and all those little things you might not even notice happening. You definitely don’t need to know how to pose. In fact, I’d rather you didn’t! I’ll give you a little guidance when we need it for portraits, but for most of the day I’ll blend in, have a laugh with your guests and capture things naturally. There’s a reason some of my couples call me the Ninja Wedding Photographer. 🥷📸 Getting to know you before the wedding is really important to me too. We’ll catch up over a coffee, have a chat before the big day and, depending on your package, we can get out for a pre-wedding photoshoot too. By the time your wedding arrives, I don’t want to feel like some random photographer turning up with a camera – I want you to feel like you’ve got another friend there with you.
