An exclusive venue only hosting a maximum of ten weddings a year, Hellens House and gardens provide a magical environment for you to receive your guests, take memorable photos, and create an unforgettable occasion.

The great Barn seats up to 100 people in comfort around tables. There is a stage for your musicians and a dance floor. If your wedding falls during our open season you are welcome to hold your initial reception in the Music Room and have drinks on the East Terrace. We are licenced as a venue for civil ceremonies and have a choice of locations either within the House or Great Barn for ceremonies for between 2 and 150 guests. A civil wedding & reception at Hellens generally costs in the region of £1,800 – £4,500. We have a list of recommend caterers and can provide lists of musicians, photographers, florists and local accommodation.

 

We offer use of the Music Room, East Hall, Terrace and Gardens for your welcome drinks and photographs. The Haywain Barn serves as a bar for the evening and you are welcome to enjoy the orchard area and our boules pitch by the stables.

 

We would normally expect to offer the caterer’s use of the kitchen; setting up and decorating time on the wedding eve; the provision of chairs and round tables to your plans. Our wedding co-ordinator Ruth will be with you on the Friday with an experienced eye to help you with your preparations. Bring your family and friends to help and make sure that you are stocked up on tea and cakes for a lovely full day of making the Great Barn yours for your special day.
