Set in beautiful, landscaped gardens near Halifax, West Yorkshire, the 380-year-old Jacobean house has long been one of Yorkshire’s most-loved wedding venues.

Holdsworth House is wonderfully photogenic. The independent, four-star hotel is packed with historic features, and is traditionally styled with wood-panelled halls, beamed ceilings and furnished with antiques, paintings and tapestries.

From smaller weddings from 8 - 40 guests up to large events up to 120; all party sizes, couples, families and friends are most welcome.

There are five rooms available for ceremonies, including The Gazebo - the smallest licensed venue in the country. The Stuart Room can accommodate up to 120-seated guests for a wedding breakfast and 150 for an evening party. You can even marry outdoors in the beautiful Colonnade Courtyard with drinks and handmade canapés on the lawns or patios.

Holdsworth House has 38 ensuite bedrooms for overnight stays including a beautiful bridal suite, newly refurbished Executive Suites, Doubles, Twins and Interconnecting rooms. The restaurant has been awarded two red AA Rosettes for 18 consecutive years and the same restaurant chefs will be responsible for your wedding, giving your guests restaurant quality food.
