Hi, I'm Jo! Your friendly, punctual, organised makeup artist. I have been in the game for over 10 years and I can confidently say I know what makes a bride tick.
I can read you like a book. Whether you are a bride who likes a lot of communication, a bride who is super chilled, a bride who is constantly stressing if things are going to go ok, I can mould myself to match you.
I am a calming presence on your big day, I am not just a makeup artist, I am your best friend, your sister, your PA! I'm not just there for makeup, I stay with you right up until you are ready to leave to say 'I do!'. This often means I'm helping with putting your shoes on, helping with your dress, cutting labels off things, even helping you to the loo once you are in your dress!
To me, your whole journey from your initial booking to your big day should be personal and intimate. I want to know you, your family, what you are looking forward to the most, what you are dreading. I want you to feel so comfortable with me and trust I will help you look and feel your very best for your big day.
I am super organised, once you book you'll receive a booking confirmation. Once your trial is booked in, you'll receive an invoice. Once we have done your trial and completed the final small details of your booking, you'll receive an invoice for your big day, before and after photos from your trial, a product list of everything I have used. You will also receive a schedule of timings for the wedding morning so that it runs smoothly and there is no rushing. I always finish makeup 1 hour before you are due to tie the knot. When I tell you the last hour flies by - it FLIE'S! You need time to get into your dress, the finishing touches like perfume, jewellery, and just to relax with your bridal party. The photographer also usually comes in the room at this point too, for some gorg snaps!

Hi, I’m Jo. I am a freelance makeup artist based in the North West of England. I have worked for Bobbi Brown Cosmetics for 5 years as an Advanced Artist and Bridal Makeup Specialist and I am now running my own makeup freelance business. I am polite and professional, super organised and my attention to detail comes out in my work. I have taken part in Brides the show, The BBC music awards, and much more. My forte is bridal makeup, I have worked with some amazing brides over the years and I hope to see many more. I LOVE being a part of someone’s big day making them look and feel their best, and have one last thing to worry about - MAKEUP! I am fully insured by Salon Gold insurance.
