Surrounded by acres of picturesque pastureland, Muckrach Country House accommodates up 22 guests, offering the perfect setting & base for family holidays, exclusive events or your special day.
Built in 1861 as a shooting lodge for the large estate of Clan Grant, Muckrach Country House changed hands several times, and was even used as a convalescent home for wounded soldiers during World War I & II. Muckrach has retained much of it’s historic charm, with many of the original features of the house, such as the grand staircase and ornate plasterwork, still intact.
The property is a testament to the enduring beauty and allure of Scotland’s rich architectural heritage. If you’d like to enjoy a romantic Scottish Highland wedding, we’d love to welcome you to Muckrach Country House and help to make your wedding day a memorable one; Muckrach is set in 10 acres of stunning pastureland, with 11 individually designed bedrooms & public rooms decorated in Victorian Grandeur with a contemporary twist.

Muckrach Estate also offers a collection of luxury self-catering lodges, with the ability to sleep up to 12 additional people. Our luxury Highland Lodges have been designed with comfort in mind. The contemporary, luxury interior design creates an inviting space. Each lodge is self-catering for your convenience, fitted with kitchens with high-end appliances so you can prepare meals at your leisure. If you’re looking for hot tub lodges, we have a couple of charming lodges that have a hot tub in their private gardens.
