Nestled amongst 500 acres of private grounds, in a picturesque fold in the Chiltern Hills, Notley Tythe Barn's story began 900 years ago as part of a medieval monastery. Still standing today, with its magnificent hall, gallery and gardens, it is the perfect setting for the wedding of your dreams.
Licensed for civil marriages, partnerships or naming ceremonies both indoors and out, the barn can seat up to 140 guests, with another 60 in the adjoining Granary Bar. We make you and your guests our priority from the moment you meet our team of wedding planners, through to working with our chefs to create your ideal menu. With a relaxed atmosphere, we will make your dream day a unique and unforgettable experience. Meet the Key Person
Chrystia, or Tinks, as the team knows her, is the first person you'll reach when you start your journey with us. She is in charge of welcoming you in and beginning conversations around your special day. She is the daughter of the owners Nick and Denise, so has grown up in the business. Tinks will explain all things Notley and the different ways we can host your special day for you.

Ask what is included in the venue hire price. So many venues barely include anything. We like to feel we include all the bits you need to have an amazing party!
