Couples can host their momentous occasion in The Red Lion Hotel's refurbished function room, The Festival Suite. This venue can accommodate up to 150 guests and has a private bar. Large doors lead to an outdoor area where you can catch a breath of fresh air. Floor-to-ceiling windows drench the room with natural light. A spacious wood-panelled dancefloor paired with DJ and live performance facilities means you and your guests can party to your favourite music. For a more intimate event, the Wellington and Basing suites are smaller and offer a door leading to the beautifully decorated courtyard. Whether you wish to host a buffet feast or a seated meal, The Red Lion Hotel has plenty of amenities to assist with your dining experience. With up to 60 en-suite bedrooms provided, your travelling guests can delight in a luxurious overnight stay. Ample parking can also be available for you and your loved ones. - Here at the Red Lion Hotel, we would like to help make your day truly individual and one to remember. Whether you are thinking of a large wedding celebration or a more intimate occasion, your personal wedding co-ordinator will guide you through it all!
- A unique feature of the hotel is its’ central location within the town. The hotel is within a few minutes walk from the Basingstoke Registry Office for your marriage ceremony to take place before the wedding breakfast.
- The Red Lion Hotel offers 61 hotel rooms in total on top of the three variations of function room sizes to accommodate all needs.
- The Festival Suite is our largest function room and has the capacity to seat 80 guests for your wedding breakfast and 150 informally for your evening reception. The room is fully air conditioned and includes a private bar.
- The Festival suite can be divided into two individual rooms, perfect for the more intimate celebration. Alternatively the Wellington Suite, adjacent and linked to the Basing Suite can hold up to 25 guests with the option of various table layouts.
- We work closely with Lemon Stone Events, our preferred caterer, to offer a variety of exciting menu packages. Lemon Stone were awarded ‘Best Caterer’ for the South Central Regions at the 2022 Wedding Industry Awards.
