Named after Cumbria's Ancient Celtic Kingdom, Rheged is Europe's largest grass covered building created to resemble a Lakeland Hill. This intriguing venue has breathtaking internal architecture with stunning water features and an abundance of natural daylight. Located in the Eden Valley at the Gateway to the North Lakes, Rheged is just a stone’s throw from Ullswater. At Rheged they have a special wedding entrance exclusive to you and your guests which passes by the waterfall, lake and decorative wooden bridge. Once inside they offer a choice of distinctive rooms. The aptly named Pennine Gallery has sweeping views of the North Pennines and provides complete privacy for your drinks reception while Mountain Hall, the lake and waterfall provide the perfect backdrop for your photographs. Mountain Hall boasts a floor to ceiling wall of glass overlooking original lime kilns providing an atmospheric setting for your evening entertainment.
