That Amazing Place is one of only a handful of country houses to offer exclusive use of the venue for your wedding day. This means that our 15th century country manor house with stylish and contemporary interiors is exclusively yours for the day and night of your wedding.
Licenced for civil ceremonies there is a choice of elegant ceremony rooms and during the summer months couples can choose to say their vows alfresco, beneath our outdoor gazebo next to the lake.
For dining, there are no minimum guest numbers and our maximum capacity for a for a traditional seated wedding breakfast is 150 guests. With our picturesque location and breathtaking views of the grounds and lake, That Amazing Place offers the perfect backdrop for your wedding day. From the long driveway up to the house on arrival, to enjoying reception drinks on the patio with views of the lake, all of your guests will enjoy the stunning scenery That Amazing Place has to offer.
For the night of the wedding, we offer overnight accommodation in our chic, comfortable bedrooms for your guests and our luxury wedding cottage for the wedding couple. Sleeping 31 people, this means that you and your guests can relax and unwind, without worry about transport.
At That Amazing Place you are also able to book The Wedding Lodge, our 4 bedroomed house situated right next to the venue, for the night before your wedding. With its 4 double bedrooms (sleeping up to 8 guests), 2 bathrooms, large kitchen/dining room, lounge, 2 bridal preparation rooms and a lovely large garden it is perfect for relaxing drinks the night before the wedding and beautiful photos the following morning.
With the option to chill out and unwind the night before the wedding, knowing that you are right next door to your venue, this new accommodation will enhance the journey for the wedding party and help to make the whole experience totally stress free!

Meet the Manager
My name is Angie and I was introduced to Paul and Jayne, the owners of the venue, 11 years ago. Prior to this, I worked for many years in the corporate events world, organising large scale events such as Christmas parties and overseas company outings for a large software company. Whilst I was on maternity leave following birth of my daughter, the company’s event budget was significantly scaled back and I was made redundant. I then decided to take some time off, and had my son a couple of years later. A family friend introduced me to Paul and Jayne when my son was a few months old. They had just closed down their children’s home at the venue, and we’re looking to do something different. We decided to join forces and start an events venue……. and the rest is history!! It has taken a lot of work and even more passion and dedication, but in April 2025 we will have the pleasure of hosting weddings and events for 10 years! Wow!! I’m so grateful to Paul and Jayne for giving me the opportunity of realising my dream of running such a fantastic business, and also to all the couples/clients who have booked in the past or for a future event. It’s truly humbling to be entrusted with someone’s special occasion! When you book your wedding or event at That Amazing Place, you are much more than just a date in the diary. We genuinely treasure the fact that you have trusted us to run your special day and we are very much excited to share this with you. Anyway, that’s enough about me.
