THE COCK O'BARTON Details
- A warm, independent countryside wedding venue with it's own restaurant, bedrooms and flexible spaces. A former 17th-century coaching inn, refurbished in 2006, we've hosted hundreds of weddings over almost 20 years.
- A warm, welcoming team who'll look after you and your guests from first visit to last dance. An experienced wedding team who know how to make weddings run smoothly and stress-free. Set in the countryside, full of character and relaxed, charming atmosphere
- Intimate weddings from just a few guests up to 40 in our private dining room, with space for 60 in the evening, available all year round.
- Spring and Summer marquee weddings available up to 70 daytime guests and 120 in the evening.
- Exclusive-use wedding days available on selected dates. For exclusive hire, we set a minimum spend on food and drink rather than a large venue hire. We can host up to 120 guests for the wedding breakfast and 200 in the evening.
- A relaxed, food-led countryside venue perfect for couples who want something special but unstuffy.
Meet the Key Person
Hi, I’m Alethea. I’ve worked at the Cock O’ Barton for over 20 years and I’m usually the first person you’ll meet when you start planning your wedding. I work in the office, so I’ll be here to guide you through the whole journey—helping you plan, offering advice when you need it, and always working at your pace. I like to think of myself as calm and reassuring, and my aim is to make the process feel exciting, not overwhelming. On the day itself, I’ll hand everything over to our wonderful wedding team, who will take care of you and make sure your wedding runs exactly as we’ve planned together. I truly adore my job and feel very lucky to have met so many lovely couples over the years. There’s nothing better than seeing your ideas come together and watching your plans turn into a really special day.
