The Globe at Hay is a beautifully converted chapel that dates back to 1752, nestled in the renowned book town of Hay-On-Wye, located within the Wye Valley.

Brimming with character and quirky features including high ceilings and large windows, original pulpit and flag stones floors, adorned with eclectic art and boutique furniture the venue has been styled to create the perfect ambience for a unique and memorable occasion. With capacity of up to 200 people, the globe at hay is fully licensed to host weddings, civil ceremonies and receptions, amongst its various versatile spaces, inside and out.

This is the perfect location to ease into your day and enjoy a champagne reception. For us the ceremony is the most important part and we here at the globe can offer a truly unique space that is both modern and quirky in
appearance, yet deeply rooted in the vintage.

Over looking the Main Hall is the Upper Gallery, providing a quieter area for guests to relax or additional seating for your reception. In addition to the Main Hall, we have the Lower Gallery; A spacious room with
flag stoned floor and wonderfully dressed with vintage furniture and contemporary art. It is a versatile space, offering a cosy, separate area for guests or available for festivities into the night.

Finally, is the Globe Garden, a real hidden gem of the town. The garden allows the romance and originality of your wedding to continue outdoors.We have an expansive lawn ready for teepee tents or marquees of your choice and a selection of seating and ambient lighting, making it the perfect spot to relax with your
family and friends. Also perfect for summer games and sports. From croquet to Twister, giant jenga to boules; there is space to let your inner child loose and entertain all your guests from young or old.

Being a live music venue, the globe is the perfect place to host any entertainment of your choice. We have top of
the range sound equipment, with an in house sound technician to ensure you have the best sound throughout
