Once an old coach house and stop over on route to Southend, The Halfway House is now a destination in its own right. Owned by the O’Donoghue family for over 30 years, “The Halfway” as it’s affectionately known is a byword for friendly service offering affordable excellence.Our Grand Marquee, set in its own gardens, caters for our larger elaborate weddings and events, whilst our Herongate Suite, fully self contained, situated in the main building is perfect for events on a smaller scale.
Essex County Countil granted approval for The Halfway House as a venue for the solemnisation of Marraiges, under the 1994 Marraige acts. We have also been granted approval under the Civil Partnership Act and Same Sex Couples Act.
