For over twenty years, The Reader has been building a community of Shared Reading groups across the UK and around the world. Here, people connect and share experiences using stories and poems. There is no pressure to talk or read aloud.

- Right in the heart of the beautiful Calderstones Park, we are thrilled to offer exclusive use of our Theatre Room, lovingly restored in 2019 with full bifold doors which open onto a private garden for your guests to enjoy.
- As a charity, The Reader puts people first, and you can be sure that your guests will enjoy the warmest of Reader welcomes. And, by choosing to celebrate with us, you’re making a difference to people and communities across the UK.
- Perfect for both ceremonies and receptions, the Theatre Room comfortably holds up to 100 ceremony and wedding breakfast guests and offers additional capacity for evening receptions. Bi-folding doors offer uninterrupted views out to the secret garden.
- For larger parties in need of additional space, slide back the bi-folding doors and take the sweeping staircase out into the Mansion House’s magical secret garden. There’s also plenty of room for a marquee if you’re looking for that extra wow factor.
- Everything on our menu is fresh and locally sourced. From delicious canapés and traditional three-course menu, to BBQ’s, bowl food, buffets and even a Cheshire Farm ice cream cart - our team will work to design a menu with you and your guests in mind.
