Hi, I’m Brayden. With a last name like Wedd, it would have felt like a waste not to end up working in weddings. I’m terrible with flowers, so celebrant it was.
I’m Australian, based in North London, and I write ceremonies for couples who want their guests to recognise them in every word. Not simply recognise their names (that would be a fairly low bar) but recognise the relationship, the humour and all the little details that make it theirs.
Before I write anything, you’ll each complete a separate questionnaire. This lets me hear both versions of events before you have a chance to agree on the official one. I’ll also quietly gather stories from a few of your closest friends and family. I’m nosy, but in a useful and professionally sanctioned way.
That’s where I find the good stuff. The tiny habits, running jokes, different versions of how you met and ordinary moments that say something brilliant about the two of you. I bring it all together into a ceremony written completely from scratch.
It will be emotional when the story earns it, funny when something is genuinely funny and relaxed throughout. I won’t fill it with generic observations about love, and I don’t suddenly develop a solemn “celebrant voice” when the ceremony begins.
On the day, I’ll arrive early, speak with your venue, photographer and other suppliers, and make sure the practical details are being handled behind the scenes. Call me old-fashioned, but you should be able to turn up and enjoy getting married without worrying about where everyone is standing or what happens next.
I also offer a Ceremony + MC service for couples who want the same person to carry things through the reception. I’ll help shape the timeline, introduce speeches and key moments, coordinate suppliers and keep everything moving- without making the evening feel like a game show.
I work across the UK and return to Australia for selected weddings. If you want a ceremony that feels like it could only belong to the two of you, we’ll probably get along very well.

Hi, I’m Brayden, the person behind Wed by Wedd. I’m Australian, based in North London, and I’ve spent the past four years learning that the best wedding stories are rarely the grand romantic ones. They’re usually hidden in the small stuff: who makes the tea, who is always late and the story you both tell completely differently. That’s the part of being a celebrant I enjoy most- getting to know two people well enough to notice what makes their relationship theirs. You don’t need to perform for me or arrive with a perfectly polished love story. I’m naturally curious, easy to talk to and very happy asking the questions that help us find the good bits. I’m calm in the room, meticulous behind the scenes and firmly believe that being professional doesn’t require a serious voice. By the time your wedding arrives, I want you to feel you have someone familiar beside you who knows exactly what matters - and what can safely be left alone.
