The Wedding Documentary Company does something different.
We make wedding films built around people, personality and story — the conversations, laughter, speeches, characters and unexpected moments that actually made your wedding memorable.
I spent more than 30 years producing and directing television, where the job was never simply to make things look good. It was to find the story and make people want to keep watching. That’s the same approach I bring to weddings.
We film naturally and unobtrusively. There’s no endless posing, no pretending the camera isn’t there while you walk slowly through a field, and no attempt to make your wedding look like somebody else’s.
The result is a proper documentary of your day: warm, funny, emotional and completely personal to you.

Meet the Key Person
I’m Alan, the filmmaker behind The Wedding Documentary Company. I spent more than 30 years producing and directing television before deciding that wedding films could be much more interesting than the traditional formula. I don’t want to turn your wedding into a glossy advert. I want to capture the people you love, the things they say, the laughter, the stories and all the little moments you didn’t even know were happening. I film very unobtrusively and then use the same storytelling instincts I’ve used throughout my television career to turn it into a proper documentary about your day. If you want slow-motion walks through fields, I’m probably not your man. If you want something funny, warm, personal and unmistakably yours, we should probably talk.
