The Museum of London is a stunning venue, with a selection of beautiful and unique settings for your wedding. Whether you are planning an intimate ceremony or a large-scale reception they can assure you and your guests of a truly amazing experience. Located in the heart of the City of London, the museum provides an incredible historical backdrop for your special day. There are endless options to choose from with their contemporary and flexible galleries and suites.
Exchange vows in the splendour of recreated 18th century Pleasure Gardens, beneath a lit pagoda and twinkling stars. Host your drinks reception in the immersive Victorian Walk, followed by a wedding breakfast in the People’s City gallery, next to the Selfridge’s gilded bronze lift from 1928 and an original 1903 London taxi. The Pleasure Gardens can hold up to 50 for the ceremony and a further 20 guests can be invited to the pre-dinner drinks and wedding breakfast, so this option would be perfect for a small intimate celebration for up to 70 guests.
The Terrace Rooms are chic and stylish with their own private garden and patio area with a beautiful grand old Horse Chestnut tree as its centrepiece. Really imprint your own personality and create a fantastic atmosphere in these versatile, modern rooms for ceremonies up to 70 in the Garden Room while a further 20 guests can be invited for pre-dinner drinks and the wedding breakfast in the Terrace Gallery. Capacities are flexible depending on catering requirements.
The Sackler Hall is ideal for larger weddings ceremonies of up to 350 guests and has a show-stopping LED ellipse that runs around the whole room. It can display a sky of lights, a swaying chandelier matched to your colour theme, names of guests, words of congratulations or something completely bespoke for you. A maximum of 600 guests can be invited for a standing reception and 350 for a sit down dinner.
Their dedicated wedding co-ordinators understand how important it is to make sure every detail is perfect. They will use their experience of the museum, as well as their knowledge of food and drink, and other special touches to create a wonderful occasion that you will cherish forever.
