Non Alcoholic Cocktails
Confetti presents a selection of non‐alcoholic cocktail recipes that will delight drivers and non-drivers alike.
Of course, if you want your guests to actually remember your party, it’s advisable to limit the cocktail intake (one or two on arrival is perfect) ‐‐ and to keep the tequila well hidden. Here are a few non alcoholic alternatives to the standard orange juice and lemonade combination.
Steel works
- 2 measures passion‐fruit cordial
- Splash of Angostura bitters
- 3 measures chilled soda water
- 3 measures chilled lemonade

Fruitburst
- 1 green apple, cored and chopped
- 3 carrots, peeled and chopped
- 1 mango, peeled and stoned
- 7 measures freshly squeezed orange juice
- 6 strawberries, hulled
Machine blend the apple, carrots and mango. Once smooth, add the orange juice and strawberries and blend again. Sieve and serve over ice in tumblers.
Scarlet lady
- 4oz Galia, honeydew or watermelon
- 5 small red grapes
- 3 measures unsweetened red grape juice
Blend the melon and grapes in a food processor until smooth, then add the grape juice and continue blending for another minute. Strain juice into ice filled glass and stir. Transfer into chilled cocktail glass and decorate with sugar‐frosted grapes.
Horse’s fall
- 1 lemon
- Splash of Angostura bitters
- 2 measures chilled raspberry tea
- 1 measure clear, unsweetened apple juice
- 5 measures dry ginger ale or lemonade
Prepare a long cocktail glass in advance by peeling the lemon in one continuous strip and using it to line the glass. Leave the glass to chill. Once chilled, add the Angostura bitters. In a cocktail shaker, mix the tea and apple juice and shake for 20 seconds. Pour into the glass and top up with ginger ale or lemonade.
