Spring Flower Bouquets
We love Springtime and think it’s a wonderful time of to get married. A perfect Spring wedding is: pretty pastel or bright and vibrant colours, full and luscious blooms, elegant flowing dresses, blossom trees, delicate hairpieces…and hopefully no rain! So here are Silk Blooms tips on the perfect Spring wedding flowers!
Most people might think that, in Spring, it’s possible to get any kind of flowers for your wedding bouquets. This, unfortunately, isn’t the case. Many species aren’t in season until later in the year. This is one of the reasons why brides opt for artificial flowers in their wedding instead. Another reason is that, although not everyone suffers from hayfever or flower allergies, if you do and you have real flowers in your wedding it can really ruin your day—especially with the more pollen-rich species like lilies, anthuriums, roses and anemones. Artificial flowers are definitely the best choice if you don’t want a red nose and watering eyes in your wedding photos, or wasp stings, or pesky insects chasing after your bouquet!
Springtime gives you a lot of freedom in terms of wedding themes. Most colours will work well—but especially beautiful pastel shades and fruity brights!
Minimal
If big colours aren’t your thing, you can opt for an elegant, minimal style Spring wedding. There’s something captivating about a wonderful white wedding. It’s fresh, pure and graceful. Simplicity is the key here—don’t overdo it with ‘extras.’ Minimal can make a big impact. Consider lilies, orchids and other white flowers with fresh greenery, for this will all look very clean and modern.
Vintage
If you’re a vintage lover, Spring is the perfect season to go all-out with full bodied, feminine bouquets of soft, abundant combinations; think roses, peonies, ranunculus, and hydgrangeas. Go for soft, pale pastel colours or antique, worn-out shades to create nice texture in your bouquet. Brooches, charms and other personal touches work very well in vintage-style designs. Lace and soft, textured ribbons finish things off perfectly.
Colourful
If you’re the kind of person who prefers to stand out a little, why not go for vibrant, colourful wedding flowers? A pop of colour can look gorgeous in front of a lovely white wedding dress and it can make accessorising really fun too! Fruity pinks, oranges, yellows and blues are great for Spring weddings. You could even go for a pair of coloured shoes and get a matching hair piece made for your big day.
Don’t forget that with Silk Blooms, you can have your favourite flowers created in any colour at all—simply send them a swatch or pantone codes of your wedding colours and they’ll match your flowers perfectly. Rainbow roses, bright blue orchids, multi-coloured gerberas—anything is possible! They have a huge gallery too, which you can browse at your leisure.
