Florist Serenata Flowers has just revealed the most Instagrammed flowers in the world, judged on how many times they’ve been hashtagged, and the list might surprise you.
It feels like our feed is always full to the brim with pics of peonies, but they aren’t as high up on the list as you might think.
Scroll down to see the 10 most Instagrammable flowers in the world, and let us know if your wedding flowers of choice are included…
1. Roses
It comes as no surprise that the classically romantic rose is the most Instagrammed bloom out there.
Whether you prefer a tidy bunch of pristine white roses, or an unruly bouquet of flowers, roses are an undeniably beautiful choice for wedding flowers. Which explains why they’ve been hashtagged over 32 million times.
2. Cherry Blossom

For a couple of weeks every spring, our Instagram feed is an absolute hotbed of cherry blossom, so we weren’t shocked that it’s the second most posted flower, with over six million hashtags. Cherry blossom is such a delicate flower, and so very seasonal, it’s rare to see it in wedding arrangements, but if you are lucky enough to be getting married when it’s in season, be sure to include some in your bouquets.
3. Tulips
With more than five million hashtags, tulips are the third most Instagrammable flower. Tulips make the perfect bouquet for spring brides, with white ones being ideal for brides going for a classic look in a simple wedding dress.
4. Sunflowers and 5. Daisies
No other flower brings a smile to our face quite like sunflowers do – they’re bright, cheery and absolutely perfect for bringing a splash of bold colour to summer weddings. Sunflowers also have over five million hashtags on Instagram, while the humble daisy comes in sixth place, with over four million hashtags. Pair the two together for the cheeriest bouquet you can possibly imagine.
6. Orchids
When we picture orchids, we tend to think of the vibrant purple ones, but white orchids make for gorgeous, statement making wedding flowers. Pair with leafy foliage for a really beautiful, botanical combination.
7. Lilies
Lilies have been hashtagged on Instagram over two million times, but we think they’re a little bit on the risky side for bridal bouquets, given their tendency to stain white clothing. Create table displays like the above with lilies instead to still include the statement bloom in your wedding, without the risk of ruining you dress.
8. Hydrangeas
For a beautiful, soft wedding style, you can’t go wrong with hydrangeas. They come in such a variety of lovely colours it’ll be easy to match them to your wedding colour scheme. Decorate your tables and have hydrangeas in your bouquet to tie the whole wedding look together.
9. Peonies
Peonies are another flower that Instagram is often awash with – it’s an influencer favourite, so no surprise to see it has been hashtagged over 1.5 million times. These frothy, feminine blooms make for marvellous wedding flowers no matter which colour you go for.
