Length of engagement: We’ve known each other for five years, living together for three years and engaged for 6 months.
We met: on the street by my office and arranged to go to concert two weeks later. We saw each other a few times after that. Then there was a long break, and a year and a half later we accidentally met in the same place again. Six months later we moved in together!
Our proposal: The proposal was very romantic and personal. We had a ritual every morning – we sat by a window together to watch the sunrise. So, one morning Viesturs unexpectedly gave me a ring and asked me to be his wife!
My favourite part of the wedding day: Regina – there is no one moment, at least not one that’s just a few minutes or seconds long. All day, the whole trip to Italy, Tuscany was most wonderful time in my life. I so much enjoyed the day it can’t be put into words. Everything went as planned, even weather. I can honestly say that our wedding was the most sincere, pure, beautiful and filled with spiritual and loving atmosphere I have ever imagined, been to or seen in movies. Viesturs – I always have enjoyed Italy but this journey and this special occasion was above anything I have ever experienced, and I’ll remember it for the rest of my life. I don’t even need to look at photos or videos, I remember everything. I’m so grateful to Barbara for planning it all so perfectly for us.

We chose our venue because: for the unexpected charm, hidden in a Tuscan village
Wedding dress: tulle and organza gown
The ceremony: a romantic open-air ceremony with breath-taking view over the Tuscan countryside. The arch with romantic ivory flowers was our frame.
