How and when did you meet?
We were neighbours for years and our parents were friends, so we knew each other before we got together. I was literally the girl next door.
How old are you both?
I’m 19 and Jonny is 27.
Where, when and how did he (or you!) propose?
He proposed on New Year’s Day 2005 in Hong Kong.
Did you have hen and stag celebrations? If so, what did you do?
I went to Marbella with six girls for my hen party and he went to Latvia with seven boys for his stag party.
How did your groom help with the wedding planning?
He didn’t really.
Did you use confetti to plan your wedding? If so, how did the website help you?
I used the website for ideas especially about speeches.
Did you buy any confetti products for your wedding? If so, did you visit a store, buy online or by mail order?
I bought the speeches guide for my husband which really helped him.
Tell us about your outfit, and where you bought it
I had my wedding dress made in Israel and it was pink. The bodice was covered in pink crystals and the huge skirt was pink with roses sewn on to it. I had a ten foot train. br/>
Did you have bridesmaids? If so, who did you choose and what did they wear?
I had one bridesmaid. She was my 6 year old sister. She wore a Spanish style dress which was short at the front and long at the back. It was green with pink roses on it.
Who did your groom choose for his best man and ushers, and what did they wear?
The groom had his brother as the best man. The groom wore a pink suit and the best man and both fathers all wore ivory with green waistcoats and cravats.
Did you have a civil or religious ceremony?
Religious Ceremony.
Where did you hold your ceremony?
The ceremony was on the beach in Eilat, Israel.br/>
Where did you hold your reception?
The reception followed, by the swimming pool, was at Herrods Hotel in Eilat.
Did you have any special wedding transport?
No, just a nice, cool, big car to fit the dress in and keep us cool as it was very hot there.
How many guests did you invite to your wedding, and did you have a separate evening guest list?
It was only a small intimate wedding. There were about 85 people.
Did your reception have a particular theme in terms of colour or style?
The whole wedding followed a pink theme.
How did you incorporate this in to your table settings?
We had pink tablecloths with white petals scattered and candelabras in the centre.
Did you give your guests favours?
Flip flops for the beach and key rings which were a model of Jerusalem.
Describe your flowers (bouquets and table decorations). Who was your florist?
I didn’t have a bouquet but all the flowers were pink roses.
What did you choose to have on your menu? Did you have an outside caterer or did your venue handle the catering?
The venue handled the catering. Wehad sea bream to start,followed by sorbet,then fillet of beef. We had a huge dessert buffet.
What did you choose for your wedding cake, and who made it?
Venue handled it.
Did you have any entertainment during the day or evening?
12 piece band.
Did you have a gift list? If so, who did you have your list with?
No, we didn’t have one.
Where did you spend your first night and honeymoon? Who did you book your honeymoon with?
We spent the first night in the Herrods Hotel. We honeymooned in Orlando and then did a Caribbean cruise.
Did you experience any ‘nightmare’ moments in the run up to your wedding or on the day?
Plenty!
Is there anything you would do differently, or any advice you would give to other brides?
Stay as relaxed as possible. Do whatever the bride and groom wants to do. Don’t change your mind for anything.
