Everything We Know About Meghan Markle’s Royal Hen Do
American actress Meghan Markle may have had a ‘bachelorette party’ if she was getting married back home – but she’s marrying Prince Harry and so has embraced the great British tradition of the hen do.
Here’s everything we know about her royal hen party!
The Spa Venue
For security reasons, the exact location of the bride-to-be’s party has been kept a closely guarded secret, but it’s widely believed to been held at a luxury spa retreat.
Love that idea? Find out how you can have a spa hen party at home – ideal if you don’t have a royal budget.
Some Key Guests Were Missing
Unfortunately Meghan’s mum was unable to attend as she was in Los Angeles. Another person missing from the festivities was Meghan’s future sister-in-law, the Duchess of Cambridge. Kate Middleton is seven months’ pregnant so instead she chose to spend the weekend resting.
The Guest List was A-List
Whilst some people were missing, Meghan was surrounded by a circle of celeb friends. Made in Chelsea star Millie Mackintosh is thought to have attended after the pair met on a beach years ago. Millie has been helping Meghan settle into her new life in London so it’s likely she’ll be by her side on her hen do.
Misha Nonoo, the fashion designer who introduced Meghan to Harry, was also expected to join in the celebrations, as was Wimbledon champion Serena Williams, stylish Jessica Mulroney and fellow Suits actress Abigail Spencer.
It was Low-Key
Meghan Markle previously told the Mirror that she wasn’t going to be going on a huge boozy night out, revealing: “The thought of running around a city trying to get into clubs and wearing headbands of the phallic persuasion didn’t seem very ‘on-brand’ for us.”
