When this landed in our inbox our initial response was ‘What the HECK?’…but actually, this is genius! Yorkshire sausage maker HECK has marked the upcoming royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle with a “sweet ginger and American mustard” pork sausage recipe (that’s both gluten free and dairy free) “as a nod to Meghan’s American background and Harry’s fiery red locks”.
The royal wedding isn’t far away and there are street parties and barbeques planned all across the country to commemorate the special day. With that in mind, if you’re planning your own royal wedding celebration then HECK’s limited edition “Majestic” sausages should be the perfect addition. They are a novelty product packaged in a “regal sausage sleeve” complete with entwined gold wedding rings, ornate swirls, and a royal crown. They will go on sale between the 2nd and 22nd of May 2018 at £2 per 400g pack (from Sainsbury’s and the HECK website), and we hear HECK has even offered its hot van to Windsor Castle to cook up the majestic treats for wedding guests. There’s no word as to whether Meghan Markle, who reportedly follows a vegan diet, has taken them up on their offer.
