We all know you’re not supposed to wear white to a wedding, but one bride-to-be flipped this rule on its head by encouraging her guests to wear their own wedding dresses to her big day.
Actress Audrey Moore decided that she would give her guests the option to get dressed up in their wedding finery once again, with her husband Jesse Lumen explaining in a now-viral Reddit post that she felt ‘it was sad that most women only get to wear their wedding dress once, so we invited all the women coming to our non-traditional wedding to wear their old wedding dresses again.’
Their guests clearly loved the idea: Audrey posted a picture on her Instagram account of herself surrounded by guests all rocking their bridal outfits! The bride stood out in her ice-blue hued gown.
“I’ve been to all of their weddings and I saw them all in their beautiful dresses. I wanted them to have the opportunity to wear their really magical, beautiful dress a second time,” The bride explained to Buzzfeed, “It was like watching a group of princesses come to life.”
For those who didn’t have a wedding dress, they were encouraged to come dressed up in another special ensemble they’d only had one chance to wear, such as their prom outfit.

The idea appeared really popular on the Reddit thread, with lots of people commenting to commend the couple’s choice, as well as on Audrey’s Instagram posts. “What a great idea! If I ever get married (which I won’t), I’m stealing” wrote one Instagram user, whilst a comment on the Reddit thread read: “These are the best wedding pictures I’ve ever seen! Congrats.”
