Vote for the Wedding Dress of the Year 2022

The six finalists for Wedding Dress of the Year have been announced!

This summer, during a fabulous night of dining and dancing, the leading suppliers and retailers in the bridal industry will come together at the Bridal Buyer Awards to celebrate their incredible achievements. The awards are recognised as the most influential in the UK bridal industry and are a chance for your favourite brands and boutiques to celebrate their hard work amongst the biggest names. In past years, the Bridal Buyer Awards have welcomed brands such as Morilee, Justin Alexander, Pure Brides and many more.

The most anticipated event of the evening is the awards ceremony – think the Oscars, but bridal.

Wedding Dress of the Year is the award category that bridal suppliers across the country dream of winning. This year, the finalists have been handpicked from the Best Bridalwear Manufacturer category. These finalists have excelled in their creativity, craftsmanship and construction, and have each submitted their most stunning bridal gown in the hopes of being crowned the Wedding Dress of the Year 2022 winner.

We are in awe of all six of the gowns, so, in partnership with the Bridal Buyer Awards, we’ve decided to put the decision of which dress should win in your hands.

Bridal Collective

Olani from Blue by Enzoani

Olani, from Blue by Enozani, holds a delicate and sexy illusion lace back and V-neckline, adorned with beautiful floral embroidered lace which flows down to the organza, glitter tulle and tulle skirt. The gown sparkles and shines at every turn, creating the most heavenly effect that is sure to turn heads on the big day. The floral lace appliques that are visible throughout the A-line skirt add a playful beauty to this gorgeous gown.

Justin Alexander

Estelle 88261

A clean and crisp design; Estelle is a fashionable take on the minimalistic dress trend. This luxurious Mikado A-line wedding gown features a stylised strapless neckline that is accentuated with asymmetric pleating. A matching bow on the train adds a unique design detail that instantly creates a perfect bustle. The bow conceals buttons that attach at the waist which allow the dress to fold in on itself to eliminate the train meaning the bride can seamlessly adapt her dress throughout the day and night for comfort and style. The gown is finished with pockets and Mikado covered buttons that run to the end of the chapel length train. This dress perfectly captures the idea behind both the Fall/Winter 2022 collection and the brand as a whole. It’s the perfect balance between classic and modern, timeless and contemporary- both elevated and fresh, it is where Old Hollywood meets 2022.

Hopkins by Pronovias Privée

Inspired by blooming flower fields, Hopkins is the essence of feminine sensuality. This youthful wedding dress is made of soft and summery field-of-flowers embroidered tulle, and features a strapless sweetheart neckline and a court train. The fine beading detail around the neckline and fixed belt provide a real wow factor. This dress has been designed to provide support and comfort in the most romantic style with the princess sillouette, inner boning construction and fitted cups. Hopkins is such a popular style that it is offered in three customisations to the original design: with an extended train of 20 inches, with a V-neck and backline, and with a closed front with detachable straps. This stunning dress is available in UK sizes 2-34, and in multiple colours.

Maggie Sottero

Harlem, by Maggie Sottero, is an ultra-lightweight, off-the-shoulder fairytale wedding gown, with personalization options to truly make your dream dress a reality. To make this style your own, you can change a layer of plain tulle in the skirt to sparkle tulle for a little more glam, or opt to have the bodice lined if you want the dress to be a little more modest. With sequined lace motifs, illusion off-the-shoulder cap sleeves and 4 colourways to choose from – Harlem is THE dress to effortlessly live out your fairytale wedding dreams.

Fontaine #2473

A bold floral design; Fontaine #2473, from the Morilee Rhapsody collection, is the epitome of a timeless, elegant and modest wedding gown. Style Sahara (69712), from Ronald Joyce’s Bouquet collection takes inspiration from the timeless and effortless beauty of the old Hollywood glamour era. Sahara is sophisticated, stylish, and breath-takingly elegant. The showstopping, fully beaded gown provides a unique and modern look for brides wanting a distinctive style. The fit and flare silhouette is paired with a contemporary corset style bodice, romantic sweetheart neckline and delicate pearl beaded straps that give a romantic and dainty feel to the look.
