10 Top Tips for Planning Your Day at The Wedding Fair
You’ve got the ring on your finger and it’s now time to start planning the big day – but where do you start? The Wedding Fair in Warwickshire and Newcastle are a great place to begin, with everything under one roof – from venues and dresses, to bands and florists. Here’s their list of top 10 tips to help you make the most of your visit.

Start your day at the Catwalk Show
There’s no better place to see a wide variety of beautiful wedding dresses than live on the runway. Large scale shows will always have a fantastic runway, with top bridal boutiques showcasing the year’s most sought after designs and elegant classics, in a choreographed showcase that shows you a wide variety of dresses. Grab a glass of bubbly and watch as models run the catwalk in beautiful gowns and elegant footwear, bridesmaids and occasion wear, joined onstage by male models showcasing tailored suits. It’s the perfect way to start your day and get you inspired to start hunting. We run four catwalks a day at all of The Wedding Fairs.
Find your Wedding Dress
Having seen the dresses on the catwalk, take note of your favourites and head to the boutiques and designers to try them on. At The Wedding Fair, we have a plenty of bridal designers and boutiques where you’ll be able to try on the gowns you’ve just seen on the runway, as well as hundreds more. With a huge selection of dresses, experts are always on hand at any fair to assist you in looking for your perfect dress and guide you in the right direction to make sure you feel and look your best on your big day.
Take your time
At our Warwickshire & Newcastle show we over 120 exhibitors, so make sure you arrive with plenty of time to make your way around the fair. Exhibitors at any fair are experts in their respective fields and are dedicated to making your day the absolute best it can be, so be sure to speak to them about your wedding, ask as many questions as you need and let them know all about your special day.

Grab a show guide
You’ve found the perfect venue – beautiful but fun, you know your guests will love it and you can’t picture your day being anywhere else, but, you’ve forgotten the name now you’re home and you’ve googled everything you can think of to find it with no luck. We try to make it as easy as possible to find the people you’ve met at The Wedding Fairs. We have an online exhibitor list on our website but our printed show guide is free, so be sure to grab one at the entrance to make note of the people you need to contact once you’re home! If you can’t find one, be sure to ask staff at the fair and a member of staff will be more than happy to assist!
Celebrate your engagement in style
The planning process comes only second to the big day itself in terms of excitement, so why not treat yourself and your party to extra special visit to the fair with our VIP Experience. Talk to the wedding experts
Experts are usually on hand at most fairs to share their expertise and demonstrate their vast knowledge, so it’s really important you head down to these. You’d be surprised what you can pick up and there’s pretty much always a great variety of classes or talks on hand. Plan your questions in advance so you know exactly what you want answered you can tailor your questions to the suppliers you want to speak to!
Grab a bargain
It’s the worlds worst kept secret that weddings can be pretty expensive, so that’s why many exhibitors offer special prices, unique offers, free samples & demonstrations at our shows, and they duly oblige! You can usually find of a list of the best offers on a shows website, and this should be updated right up until the show so you won’t have to hunt for the best deals when you arrive!
And relax…
Once you’ve browsed through the show and feel you’ve made the most of your day, be sure to finish off somewhere comfortable with a glass of bubbly or a nice cup of tea to sit down and enjoy and reflect on everything you’ve found. Be sure you’ve visited all of the exhibitors and head back to anyone you’d like to speak to again before leaving.
