How and when did you meet?
We met in London at a mutual friend’s party.

Where, when and how did he (or you!) propose?
Ben proposed at the edge of Sydney Harbour on New Year’s Eve 2001.

Did you have hen and stag celebrations?
Ben went to Germany, but I had a girl’s night out in London.

Did your groom help you with the wedding planning?
Ben didn’t do a great deal, but was a good sounding board.

Did you use confetti to plan your wedding? If so, how did the website help you?

I really enjoyed the message boards, it was nice to know I wasn’t the only obsessed person!

Do you have a confetti web page?
No.

Did you buy any confetti products for your wedding? If so, did you visit a store, buy online or by mail order?
No.

Tell us about your outfit, and where you bought it.
I had a Jenny Packham dress which was discontinued the day after I tried it on, so although it was ages until the wedding, I bought it and had the neckline altered as well

Did you have bridesmaids? If so, who did you choose and what did they wear?
Yes, I had four bridesmaids. They wore taupe tea length satin strapless dresses with a black ribbon detail.

Who did your groom choose for his best man and ushers, and what did they wear?
Ben chose his closest friends.

Did you have a civil or religious ceremony?
We got married in a Church of England church.

Where did you hold your ceremony?
Our ceremony was at St Peter’s Church, Caversham.

Where did you hold your reception?
The Phyllis Court Club, Henley-on-Thames.

Did you have any special wedding transport?
We had Rolls Royce.

How many guests did you invite to your wedding, and did you have a separate evening guest list?
About 70.

Did your reception have a particular theme in terms of colour or style?
Classic styling in taupe, black and white.

How did you incorporate this in to your table settings?
I made tablecloths and used black ribbon detail on favours.

Did you give your guests favours?
Yes, we gave little seats with an Italian chocolate inside and a love message in the wrapper.

Describe your flowers (bouquets and table decorations). Who was your florist?
We had white roses and orchids.

What did you choose to have on your menu? Did you have an outside caterer or did your venue handle the catering?
We had plenty of canapés and then went straight into a chicken main course, and lemon mousse for pudding. We then had a cheese and cake buffet.

What did you choose for your wedding cake?
I made the cake which was traditional fruit.

Did you have any entertainment during the day or evening?
We had a jazz band during drinks and dinner and then a juke box (which didn’t work!).

Did you have a gift list? If so, who did you have your list with?
Our list was held at John Lewis.

Where did you spend your first night and honeymoon? Who did you book your honeymoon with?
We went to Danesfield House and then on a motor trip around the UK.

What was your most memorable moment of the day?
Leaving the reception in a boat and floating up the river!

Is there anything you would do differently, or any advice you would give to other brides?
I would relax a lot more and try not to build it up in my head too much before the day. After all, the most important bit is the getting married, not the decorations, dress or food!
