When was your wedding?

How and when did you meet?

Me & Alan met over the internet in a chat room in September 2004

How old are you both?

I’m 21 & Alan is 25

Where, when and how did he (or you!) propose?

Alan proposed to me in Tenerfie on Septmber 13th 2005, we went out for dinner just to the two of us then we had a nice romantic walk along the beach where he asked me to marry him

Did you have hen and stag celebrations? If so, what did you do?

Alan went up to Fulham where he lives and wnent out with all his mates. I had it at home in Gloucester, we made t.shirts with Christina’s Hen Night Gloucester 2007 wrote on them, I had a fire engine limo to take me in to town with all my mates.

How did your groom help with the wedding planning?

He was quite good, he took a back seat and let me get on with it, but he did voice his opinons as well.

Did you use confetti to plan your wedding? If so, how did the website help you?

We went up to the Confetti shop in Birmingham and spent over £500 on bits for our wedding

Did you buy any confetti products for your wedding? If so, did you visit a store, buy online or by mail order?

We went to Birmingham

Tell us about your outfit, and where you bought it

My Dress was a lovely white dress with little sparkly bits on it and i got it from JD couture in Gloucester

Did you have bridesmaids? If so, who did you choose and what did they wear?

I had 5 bridesmaids, they were my Sister, My two Cousins, My Best Friend & My Sister-In-Law they all wore burgundy dresses

Who did your groom choose for his best man and ushers, and what did they wear?

The Bestman was his brother, then the two ushers were my little brother & my sister partner, they all wore grey tails.

Did you have a civil or religious ceremony?

Religious. It was a big white wedding.

Where did you hold your ceremony?

St Peters Church. Gloucester

Where did you hold your reception?

The New County Hotel. Gloucester

Did you have any special wedding transport?

A Limo for the Bridesmaids & Ushers. We had an excalibur.

How many guests did you invite to your wedding, and did you have a separate evening guest list?

We invited 80 people to the day do, then another 50 to the evening do.

Did your reception have a particular theme in terms of colour or style?

No they just painted it burgundy for us.

How did you incorporate this in to your table settings?

We had alot a bits for the tables in burgundy

Did you give your guests favours?

Yes they were from Confetti: chocolate armonds

Describe your flowers (bouquets and table decorations). Who was your florist?

My bouquet was red roses with dimonds in the flowers. The girls had over the arm bouquets they were white. I had a top table display of red & white roses

What did you choose to have on your menu? Did you have an outside caterer or did your venue handle the catering?

No the new county hotel done the food, we had soup, roast chicken dinner, chocolate cake, mints & coffee

What did you choose for your wedding cake, and who made it?

We brought out cake, it was fruit & Sponge

Did you have any entertainment during the day or evening?

Yes we had an Irish band & a disco

Did you have a gift list? If so, who did you have your list with?

We asked for money

Where did you spend your first night and honeymoon? Who did you book your honeymoon with?

Were not going on our honeymoon till September. We are goin to Spain.

What was your most memorable moment of the day?

Becoming Mrs Potter

Did you experience any ‘nightmare’ moments in the run up to your wedding or on the day?

No it all went so well

Is there anything you would do differently, or any advice you would give to other brides?

I would not do anything differently. Just to say to brides, ‘Enjoy the day the best you can because it goes so fast’..
