Clare and Craig Real Engagement Story

I met Craig in Ibiza in September 2001. I had won a holiday to Ibiza with my local radio station in Leeds, which involved 90 single women and 90 single men all on blind dates. I didn’t take a fancy to my blind date so my room mate and I decided to break away from everyone and just enjoy the holiday. I met Craig from Birmingham on my first day there. It wasn’t love at first sight but something was telling me I had to get to know this guy and we got on really well all week.

Craig left the day before me so I was at a loose end on my last day and I felt lost without him. I got home and thought that was it. We’d swapped numbers and email addresses but I really didn’t think I’d hear from him again. However, we did email and phone each other until the beginning of November when I invited him to Yorkshire and the romance blossomed from there.

I moved to Birmingham in February 2002 and we went back to Ibiza in July this year. We booked an apartment in the Coastline complex on Sunset Strip, San Antonio, which was out of this world and on our first evening there while we were sat on the balcony watching the sun set, Craig proposed. It was definitely a holiday to remember!

We are getting married on 1 May 2004 and our plans are coming together really well. I can’t wait.
